This tour includes a half-day Canal paddleboard tour that will include both the Chirk Tunnel and the Chirk Aqueduct.
An Adventure on the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct’s sister, a great way to spend a half-day in Llangollen. Getting on the canal above Chirk Tunnel we will warm up and get used to our boards before travelling through the 400-meter tunnel with head torches on. After the tunnel, we paddle over Chirk aqueduct and continue along the canal before turning around and returning back over the aqueduct to get in point about 500 meters from where we get on.
This session can be run as a full-day tour on request.

Equipment distribution, getting changed, Carrying the boads down to the Canal and Saftey Brief. This activity is run on locaton. Alike many great adventures to make the most of time and location we get changed where we meet. Privicy can be achieved in the woods or in our Box trailer as there are no changing rooms on location.
Starting on the North Side of Chirk Tunnel we head North getting used to the boards and learning on the move how to paddleboard or improve your technique if you already have some experience.
One Happy we will turn round and head for the spectacle of Tunnel and Aqueuduct. We will continue down the canal for a time before turning round and paddling back over the aquduct for a second time before egressing without goingback up the tunnel against the flow.
This last 20-30 mins of the session returns the boards back to the road and usualy involves a 400 meter walk back to your car or to the train station. We will work together and also share any photos we have taken with you.
