Experience this unique and exciting canoe adventure, taking you over the impressive Chirk Aqueduct and through the mysterious Chirk tunnel.
An alternative to our Pontcycsllte Aquduct Canoe Tour, the Chrik Aqueduct is the sister aqueduct on the Llangollen Canal UNESCO World Heritage Site. Chirk Aqueduct, as well as 11 miles of the Llangollen canal, were officially declared as one of the world’s greatest heritage sites in the world (on par with the Pyramids, the Taj Mahal and the Acropolis!)
Completed in 1801, just four years before its big sister at Pontcysyllte, Chirk Aqueduct offers fantastic views up the Ceiriog Valley. We will enjoy a picturesque journey down the Llangollen Canal including both the Chirk Aqueduct and Chirk Tunnel before returning to our start point.
Everyone is welcome on this unforgettable adventure. With our range of both 2 and 3-seater canoes, we can accommodate all group sizes, making this the perfect trip for individuals, couples, families, school groups, stag and hen dos, and corporate team training. It’s also dog-friendly! (at the owner’s own risk).
Perfectly situated close to the A5 route into Snowdonia, why not add this half-day activity to a weekend break in North Wales?
This canoe experience includes a half-day paddle on the Llangollen Canal, including logistics, one of our experienced instructors, canoes, paddles and safety equipment. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent. If you’d prefer a kayaking trip on the aqueduct, then please get in touch.

Equipment distribution u0026 fitting, Carrying Canoes to waterside, Saftey Brief. This activity is run on locaton. Alike many great adventures to make the most of time and location. There are no public Toilets where we meet.
Some profesional instruction of keeping your balance, how to haddle, steer and keep you Canoe going in a straight line
This tour will be adapted to the groups wants and needs and will involve a jourey Up and down the Canal including the Aqueduct and Tunnel at least Twice should you want to paddle them.
All good advetures have to end at some point, we will dismount where we got on, return equipment back to the Trailer and share photos with you before saying good bye.
