Should I be a British Canoeing Paddlesports Leader, Instructor or Coach???
A lot of people are asking about the new British Canoeing Qualifications. What are the changes and differences. To be honest there are a lot of changes and the new suite of qualifications available to lead or teach less abled paddlers are more accessible for all and fit for purpose. I personally think they are great, fresh thinking, applicable and fun to work on. I find myself believing in the stuff I am preaching unlike some elements of the UKCC system I am happy to say goodbye to.
What is clear is that organisations, clubs, centres, groups and any other deployers of qualified paddlers probably have to change their thinking and operation procedures to include the new qualifications.
British Canoeing has created the following document that may help make somethings clear. Please do feel free to get in touch with me (Andy Turton) through Ty Nant Outdoors
if you would like a more in-depth conversation as to which qualification is a correct for you, your club or organisation. There is a link below to the a pdf version of the following two pick for your perusal.
If you would like us to come and deliver any of these new qualifications for you your or your organisation either book online or get in touch for a quote for your group.
Happy Paddling!
Andy
