The British Canoeing Coach Award Assessment for Inland Kayak and Canoe Disciplines.

The British Canoeing Canoe Personal Performance Award for Proficient paddlers ion class one Rver sections and open water up to force 3 windsn Moderate Water conditions.

We run this award as a 2 to 3-day training with assessment course. Run in a friendly, informative and inspiring way, you will paddle on Open water lakes with winds of up to force 4 along with sections of Rivers that can include class 2 with the odd class 3 section.

The course comprises of the following areas of content:

  • Venue selection, Logistics & navigation
  • Equipment needs
  • Getting on
  • Personal skills- Communication skills & Decision making
  • Paddling Skills:  in Open water  & on Whitewater
  • Dealing with mishaps / rescuing friends.

If unsuccessful, you can be given an action plan to complete certain sections with us in the future if appropriate.

Certificate fees &  facilities fees are not included in the price.

Certificate fees: £20 per person with 50% discount for home nation members

Great trip canoeing over the aquaduct with our friends and 21 month old daughter.

Professional fun guide and great with kids!!! Though we all found Andy hilarious too… Fantastic guide, we would highly recommend.
