A unique Canoe Hire on Llangollen Canal from Trevor Basin. Enjoy your own self-guided adventure Canoeing over the Pontcycsllte Aquduct returning your Canoe to Trevor Basin after a Half day (3hr) or Full day (7hr) hire.
Previous Canoeing Experience Needed
If you have Canoeing experience already, please book this trip, If you are new to canoeing please book our Pontcycyllte Canoe Tour for a guided experience with tuition.
We meet all of our Llangollen Canal canoe hire trips next to Water. To start we will supply equipment and give you a short safety brief. From then you can go on your own mini-adventure. We will work with you to design your journey on each booking.
For larger group bookings we can work with you to sort out logistics if you would like to get on the canal at a different place to where you would like to finish.
This activity is fantastic all year round, unlikely to get very wet and often enjoyed best in the quiet season over colder months.
Please note
It is often not viable for us to only hire one canoe out on the water. If we have a different activity running it may be possible to work with you on timings and make something happen so please do get in touch and we will do our very best to help.

We have canoes designed for 2 or 3 adult-sized people. It is common for children to perch in the middle of them on thwarts or sit on the floor of the canoe so possible for a Familly to with small kids to paddle together.
We had a fantastic time kayaking on the white water. Andy and Warrick are very professional and made us feel safe as we were all beginners. I would thoroughly recommend Ty Nant Outdoors

Half-Day –
£39 (per person) 13year+
£35 (per person) 8-12years
One adult must be on the trip at all times
Full-Day – £65 per person
Must have previous canoeing experience.
For groups with children under 8 years, we recommend our Guided trip.
More than one day can be arranged upon request.
Open Canoe, Paddles, Buoyancy Aids (and Helmets on request).
*All participants have their own duty of care., All personal possessions are taken at the owner’s own risk. If Canoe equipment is lost or damaged it must be replaced/repaired under the terms and conditions.
Outdoor clothing to suit the conditions.
Bring spares just in case.
Half Day 09:00-12:30 or 13:00-16:30.
Full Day 09:00-16:15.
Times may have to vary a little depending on what other bookings we have.

Equipment distribution & fitting, Carrying Canoes to waterside, Saftey Brief. This activity is run on locaton. Alike many great adventures to make the most of time and location. There are public Toilets where we meet.
Take yourself on a self guided canoe tour along Llangollen Canal, enjoy contouring the Dee Valley with no Locks to navigate and paddle over the Aqueduct should you wish to do so. You will need to return to the get on point at the agreed time.
All good advetures have to end at some point, we will dismount where we got on, return equipment back to the Trailer. You may need to contact us when you get back and wait for us to get to you.
