The Pontcysyllte Aqueduct was completed in 1805. It is the highest aqueduct in Britain. It is 1007 ft (307 m) long, 11 ft (3.4 m) wide and 5.25 ft (1.60 m) deep it consists of a cast iron trough supported 126 ft (38 m) above the River Dee.

We offer Canoe hire on the canal in 30 minutes, 1 hr, 3 hr or 6 hr periods. No experience necessary you will be briefed and provided with safety equipment canoes and paddles to enjoy a paddle Over the World Heritage Aqueduct or up the canal towards Llangollen.
Take your family including young children on a journey on the canal, learn the fundamental handling skills in canoes &/or kayaks while having a jolly wet time on the water. Not to be missed - BOOK NOW.
Children aged 6- 8 need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Children aged 9-17 need to have parent guardian permission forms signed on the day.
